Salary: $600.00 to $625.00 /week

Location : Brampton, Canada

Job Type: Full-time

Currently seeking a warm, compassionate and patient individual with excellent communication skills to work as a Live -in Caregiver for an Elderly male with dementia. Prepare/cook/serve nutritious meals, provide elderly with companionship and personal care, exercise and other activities as required. Perform laundry for elderly, housekeeping and other duties as required.

Responsibilities :

Assist client with personal care, including dressing, mobility, administering medication, personal hygiene, eating and transporting to Alzheimer Day Program 3 times per week. Monitor patient medications and update health chart. Maintain open communication between family regarding client’s medical and emotional condition. Ensure highest client safety and well-being

Qualifications :

High school diploma required (college degree preferred)
Current and valid caregiver certification (preferred)
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle (preferred)
Recent police record check
Current and valid first aid and CPR certification
Extensive experience working with the elderly, reliable and looking for a long-term commitment
Impeccable written and oral communication skills
Experience and knowledge working with patients who have chronic and acute conditions
Nursing background an asset
